Makerspace showcase open house at the Norfolk Public Library
NORFOLK - The Norfolk Public Library will be hosting a Maker Showcase before the Makerspace equipment grant ends next Monday.
The equipment is part of the Library Innovation Studios grant received from the Nebraska Library Commission that started in August last year.
“Makers” who have created projects or those still curious about the Makerspace are encouraged to attend the open house.
Library Director Jessica Chamberlain says people have created all sorts of projects since the library received the equipment.
“From 3D printed projects and 3D printed tools to beautiful vinyl pieces that were put up on walls or put on to glasses. The laser cutter has by far been the favorite piece of equipment and people have etched and sculpted all kinds of things in there.”
The open house showcase of equipment and projects will be from 6:30 to 8 with remarks at 7 Tuesday.
