New season for Chosen Bean concerts in Chatfield

CHATFIELD — A new season of the Chosen Bean concert series kicks off Saturday at the Chatfield Center for the Arts.

Singer/songwriter Dennis Warner, who calls himself “an entertainer at heart,” will open the series. Warner performs 100 concerts a year, playing folk/Americana music.

Warner has been a three-time “New Folk” songwriting finalist at the Kerrville Folk Festival, and has performed several times at the famed Bluebird Cafe songwriting club in Nashville.

Upcoming in the series:

• Pushing Chain, a “folky-tonk” band, Feb. 9

• Escaping Pavement, an Americana band from Detroit, March 9

• Suzie Vinnick, Canadian blues singer, April 13

All concerts are at 7:30 p.m. in the American Legion Room at the Chatfield Center for the Arts, 405 Main St. S, Chatfield. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. Beverages and snacks, as well as complimentary coffee, are available.
