Marine Dies in Fall from Building
TOKYO (AP) _ A U.S. Marine fell to his death from the third floor of a military compound in Okinawa, a Marine Corps spokeswoman said Monday.
Lance Cpl. Christopher A. Epley, 22, of Brandenburg, Ky., was pronounced dead at 2:15 a.m. local time Sunday at a U.S. naval hospital.
The cause of the fall was under investigation, spokeswoman Capt. Kimberley Miller said.
Epley was an infantry rifleman assigned to Golf Company, Second Battalion, Sixth Marine Regiment, and had been in Okinawa for two weeks.
