Fatal Crash Involves Cards Player
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) _ A driver going the wrong way on a highway was killed Sunday when his car struck one driven by Arizona Cardinals receiver David Boston, police said.
Boston, who played at Ohio State, was not injured. Police did not immediately release the name of the victim.
Officer A.J. Barrett said there was one passenger in Boston’s car. Sgt. Steve Rudowski, working security for Riverside Hospital, said Boston went to the hospital with a friend.
Police said the 21-year-old wide receiver was driving north on Interstate 71 about 3 a.m. when his car was hit head-on by a car traveling south in the northbound lane.
Boston left Ohio State for the NFL after his junior season and was the No. 8 pick in the draft last year.
