Leobardo Ramirez, 58, Cambria

Leobardo Ramirez, 58, of Cambria, passed away peacefully in his sleep after a courageous battle with cancer Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, surrounded by his family.

Leobardo was born Sept. 25, 1960, the son of Armando and Maria Olga (Romero) Ramirez. He was united in marriage to Catalina “Cathy” (Velasquez) Ramirez on Nov. 30, 1979, in Milwaukee County. Leobardo worked for Seneca Foods, also known as Friday for more than 20 years. He will always be known for his love of baseball and his family.

Leobardo will be sadly missed by his wife of almost 40 years, Cathy of Cambria; and his seven children, Olga (Gabriel) Alanis, Wendy (Bulmaro) Ramirez of Madison, Leobardo (Carmen) Ramirez of Cambria, Elida (Obed) Pantoja of Madison, Lorena (Antwan) Ramirez of Madison, Leonel (Lauren) Ramirez of Cambria and Manuel (Brittany) Ramirez of Cambria; his brothers, Hector (Estella) Ramirez, Juanito (Liliana) Ramirez, Armando (Manuela) Ramirez; his sisters, Rosa Mireya (Jorge) Saldana, Elena (Juan) Zarzoza and Maria De Refugio (Jose), all of Mount Pleasant, Texas; his parents, Armando and Maria Olga Ramirez of Mount Pleasant, Texas; 16 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Leobardo was preceded in death by his brother Hugo Ramirez of Cambria.

Funeral services will be held at noon Sunday, Feb. 17 at St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam, with the Rev. Erick Cassiano officiating. Relatives may call on the family at Kratz-Smedema Funeral Home in Cambria, after the service.
