Defenseman Nathan Dempsey scored a goal for Chicago in the Blackhawks' 4-2 win at Phoenix on Thursday night. Defensemen have scored 13 of Chicago's 52 goals.
Edmonton right wing Georges Laraque was released from the hospital Thursday after a car accident. The 25-year-old Laraque was not seriously injured. He will be evaluated by team doctors Friday to determine if he will miss any time.
