Advantech to Exhibit IoT Collaborations and Exclusive 30-Day Sensor Program at Sensors Expo and Conference
IRVINE, Calif., June 12, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Advantech —a global pioneer in developing and bringing to market the most advanced embedded IoT and solution-ready platforms, services and technologies—is pleased to announce that a team comprised of their senior professionals will attend, speak and exhibit at the upcoming Sensors Expo and Conference to be held at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, Calif., from June 26-28, 2018. For over 30 years, the world-class event has drawn patrons to experience, learn and discuss the latest developments in sensors and sensing-related technologies.
At this year’s gathering, more than 6,400 attendees from over 40 countries will have the opportunity to network with their peers, engage in educational offerings and discover the trends in sector verticals including:
-- Energy Harvesting and Power Management -- Emerging Technologies -- Flexible and Wearable Tech -- IoT and Wireless -- Measurement and Detection -- MEMS and Sensors -- Novel Sensor Applications -- Optical Sensing and Detection -- Sensors and Embedded Systems Design -- Sensor Data and Analytics
“The sensor sector is expanding and evolving in dynamic and disruptive ways, affecting a range of commercial spheres,” said Ween Niu, general manager at Advantech. “Our accomplished team is designing and implementing groundbreaking systems, components and architectures across the applications and business themes featured at the expo.”
Advantech will showcase its latest collaboration with Microsoft, Intel, Hitachi and BTI – and will debut a new 30-Day Smart Sensor Program. In an effort to support worker safety through the IoT – Advantech, Microsoft, Intel, Hitachi, and BTI have combined their technologies to develop a Worker Safety IoT solution ready platform (SRP). Integrating new LPWAN protocol and stack call MIOTY to Advantech’s Intel-based edge device, this SRP utilizes Microsoft Azure’s IoT Hub cloud service; adding in Hitachi Analytic SaaS for further data reporting and visualization. The Worker Safety SRP can be broadly adopted across vertical markets and has immediate application where worker/user conditions require monitoring.
In addition, Advantech will be participating in the IoT Connectivity Ecosystem panel on Wednesday, June 27 at 1:15 p.m. to discuss the concept of the intelligent edge and where it is defined.
