Mercury Systems: Fiscal 2Q Earnings Snapshot
ANDOVER, Mass. (AP) _ Mercury Systems Inc. (MRCY) on Tuesday reported fiscal second-quarter profit of $12.4 million.
On a per-share basis, the Andover, Massachusetts-based company said it had net income of 26 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 47 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 42 cents per share.
The maker of processing systems and software posted revenue of $159.1 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $154.4 million.
For the current quarter ending in April, Mercury Systems expects its per-share earnings to range from 43 cents to 46 cents.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $162.7 million to $167.7 million for the fiscal third quarter.
Mercury Systems expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.72 to $1.80 per share, with revenue ranging from $631 million to $646 million.
Mercury Systems shares have risen 7 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $50.62, a rise of 5 percent in the last 12 months.
