West Concord ‘Guns vs. Hoses’ charity softball game scheduled for July 26
The West Concord Police Department and Survival Days Committee will be hosting a Guns vs. Hoses charity softball game on Thursday, July.
The game will feature area law enforcement staff playing against area fire and EMS staff. The game will begin at 7 p.m.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to Hunter Moen, a West Concord resident who is battling cancer. Moen recently had his leg amputated and has been receiving treatment for cancer, along with physical therapy.
Donation letters will be submitted to area businesses for the event, and boots to fill with cash donations will be passed around during the game. Additionally, all proceeds from the concession stand will go towards helping the Moen family pay for medical costs associated with Hunter’s treatments and physical therapy.
Those wanting to make a donation are asked to submit it to Citizens State Bank of Dodge Center, Mantorville, or Hayfield. To submit a donation, contact any of the three branch locations and mention that you’re “helping Hunter”.
The game will be played at the West Concord ball field at the intersection of Minnesota Highway 56 and Eugene Street. Limited bleacher seats are available, so the public is welcome to bring their own chairs.
