MIDDLETOWN, Del. (AP) — A Delaware man accused of shooting at a car carrying four people, including a child, has been arrested.

The News Journal of Wilmington reports 18-year-old Ramaj Thompson turned himself over to police Monday on charges including attempted murder. Middletown Police say they responded on July 1 to a report of a car being shot multiple times. Police say the four occupants, including the 6-year-old, were not injured.

Police say the occupants were leaving a gas station when Thompson fired a handgun at the vehicle, causing the rear windshield to shatter. Court records say some of the occupants told police they recognized Thompson from previous altercations. The records say witnesses told police Thompson had previously said his dispute with the occupants wasn't over.

It's unclear if Thompson has a lawyer.
