Snowshoe, All Good launch music fest

SNOWSHOE, W.Va. — All Good Presents, curators of the seminal All Good Music Festival, will return to West Virginia with the debut 4848 Festival headlined by two nights of Greensky Bluegrass and Umphrey’s McGee.

As an alternative to the campout festival, the inaugural 4848 Festival is offering festival lovers an new summer experience. Taking place July 11-13 atop Snowshoe Mountain in Snowshoe, (at 4848 feet above sea level), patrons get everything a festival has to offer, while experiencing accommodations within the resort’s Mountain Village, complete with modern amenities atypical to a three-day summer festival.

Greensky Bluegrass, fresh off the January release of their latest album, “All for Money,” have been packing venues coast to coast and recently featured in Rolling Stone, NPR, The Washington Post and more. Umphrey’s McGee continues to amaze audiences nationally with jaw-dropping instrumental virtuosity and airtight songcraft, communicating their progressive wizardry nightly within their explosive live shows.

4848 Festival performing artists include: Greensky Bluegrass (two nights), Umphrey’s McGee, The Infamous Stringdusters, Lettuce, Railroad Earth, The Marcus King Band, Billy Strings, Turkuaz Fruition, Rayland Baxter, Orgone, Ragin Fyah, The Nth Power, Cris Jacobs Band, The Hip Abduction, Ghost of Paul Revere, Joshua Davis and Nathan Moore.

Snowshoe Mountain’s “Fun Pass” is included with each ticket, presenting new options for summer music festival experiences: scenic lift rides, Split Rock pools, zipline, climbing wall, along with Shavers Lake activities including swimming, paddle boats, canoes, kayaks, as well as hiking trails, beach and lakeside hammocks.

Numerous general admission and VIP packages for 4848 Festival offer various lodging options. At the base of the mountain, tent camping options are also available with complimentary shuttles and ski lift rides to the Mountain Village and 4848 Festival grounds.
