SNOW FENCE THEFT _ Two Colorado men have been ordered to pay $16,000 in restitution to the Wyoming Department of Transportation for stealing pieces of wood fences designed to help reduce snow blowing onto Wyoming highways in the winter.

TORONTO _ Thanks to a trade with the last-place-finishing Ottawa Senators, the Colorado Avalanche enter the NHL draft lottery on Tuesday with the best odds of landing the top pick. Colorado has an 18.5% of winning the lottery, and can fall no further than No. 4. UPCOMING: 650 words. Draft lottery begins at 6 p.m.

HKN--AVALANCHE-GRUBAUER’S GROOVE

DENVER _ Once the backup, goaltender Philipp Grubauer has stepped in and helped save the Colorado Avalanche season. He went 7-0-2 down the stretch as the Avs earned the last wild-card playoff spot in the West. Asked if Grubauer would be in net for Game 1 in Calgary on Thursday, coach Jared Bednar wouldn’t tip his hand.
