Maynard C. Rain -- Rochester

Maynard C. Rain, 62, of Rochester, passed on to his Great Reward on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester. He was born May 9, 1956, to Willard and Barbara (Krenzke) Rain in Lynwood, Calif. He moved to Rochester in 1961 and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1974.

Maynard, a mechanic most of his life, was last employed at Q Transmission and was interested in all things cars, camping, fishing, hunting, fishing rod building, wood working, spending time in his garage shop, and time with family and T3 friends.

Maynard is survived by his wife, Susan Eifert-Rain; daughter, Andrea Rain; son, Matthew (Lindsey) Rain; parents, Barbara and Willard Rain; brothers, Richard (Denys) and Edward (Ashley) Rain; grandchildren, Aiden and Avery Rain; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and in-laws.

A visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at Trinity Lutheran Church and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 222 Sixth Ave. SW, Rochester, with a luncheon at 11:45 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to Mayo Hospice that helped him through his 8-month journey and Trinity Lutheran Church, Rochester.
