Havre man arrested on allegations of theft from elderly
HAVRE, Mont. (AP) — A Montana man has been arrested on initial charges he stole from residents of a retirement home where he worked as a maintenance employee.
Court documents say Kevin W. Coleman, of Havre, was arrested last Thursday and was being held in the Hill County Detention Center on $50,000 bond.
The Havre Daily News reports he was arrested on suspicion of exploitation of the elderly and burglary, both felonies, and a misdemeanor count of theft.
It wasn’t immediately known whether Coleman had an attorney.
According to court documents, a resident of the retirement home reported two guns were stolen from his locked apartment. A TV was also stolen from the home.
A representative of a local pawn shop told police that Coleman had recently pawned two revolvers and a TV.
