Vehicles struck in Huntington gunfire

Staff WriterMay 19, 2019

HUNTINGTON - Police responded to the scene of a possible shooting in the area of Guyan Avenue and Division Street in Huntington on Saturday evening but did not have a confirmed victim as of press time.

According to Huntington Police Chief Hank Dial, two vehicles were struck with gunfire around 8:30 p.m. Saturday and fled the scene. One vehicle had been recovered.

Dial said officers were investigating to determine what happened and if there was a shooting victim.

Dial also said officers responded to another shots-fired call at Marcum Terrace shortly after the Division Street shooting was reported, but that call was bogus.
