Police Issue Arrest Warrant For Man Involved In Scranton Shooting

Scranton police this afternoon said they had an arrest warrant for a man involved in a shooting Wednesday. Aumont “Monty” Edwards, 31, is considered armed and dangerous, according to a wanted poster distributed Thursday. Edwards is a suspect in a shooting that occurred at 3 p.m. on Wednesday at South 10th Avenue and Oxford Street. It stemmed from a chased between two vehicles that started on Capouse Avenue. No one was injured. The pursing vehicle fired several shots at another vehicle. A few bullets found their mark. Edwards is sought on charges of criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person, according to the wanted poster.
