Packaging company plans $8M expansion in Rockford

ROCKFORD, Ill. (AP) — A packaging company plans an $8 million expansion to its facilities in Rockford.

The Rockford Register Star reports (http://bit.ly/1b30SWh) Packaging Coordinators Inc. also plans to add 25 jobs. The company is building a site for its growing clinical packaging business. The city sold land to the company for $1 in an industrial park. Officials plan to break ground at the 85,000-square-foot site in coming weeks.

Justin Schroeder is executive director of marketing, business development and design for Packaging Coordinators. He says the company could move in by August.
