Shakib 66 takes Bangladesh to 153-5 in T20
MIRPUR, Bangladesh (AP) — Shakib Al Hasan struck a fine 66 as Bangladesh scored 153-5 against Australia in the World Twenty20 on Tuesday.
The left-hander hit five fours and three sixes during his 52-ball knock, and combined for 112 for the third wicket with captain Mushfiqur Rahim, who enjoyed a 36-ball 47.
After his fourth T20 half-century, Shakib was out caught to a fine catch by Glenn Maxwell at md-wicket off Doug Bollinger in the 18th over.
Rahim, who hit five fours and one six, was also caught by Maxwell at the same position off Shane Watson.
Nathan Coulter-Nile took 2-17 for Australia, which has failed to win in the Super 10, like host Bangladesh.
