July 28, 2018

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Officials say two people were injured when a house exploded west of Laramie.

The Laramie Boomerang reports the explosion happened early Friday near Sheep Mountain. The house caught fire and burned down.

It wasn’t immediately clear what caused the explosion. Jeff Beeston of the Albany County Sheriff’s Office says the scene was too hot for the state fire marshal’s crew to work Friday afternoon.

The newspaper reports that two people in the home were burned in the explosion. Beeston says he does not know their conditions.

Sheriff’s officials plan to release more information after the investigation is complete.
