Dog found in dumpster goes to new home
BULLHEAD CITY — It’s a happy ending for Jake.
The dog who was recovered from a dumpster last month has found a loving home, authorities reported Tuesday.
Animal care and welfare staff nursed him back to health, police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said, and he was made available for adoption.
Saturday, Jake received his new name and went home with Las Vegas residents Sewuese Coley and Laura Vahle.
Fromelt said animal care and welfare officers have not received any tips on anywho may have abandoned the dog the morning of Sept. 5 in the commercial waste receptacle.
