CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) _ DeMarkus Doss scored 23 points, including 14 in the second half, to lead Eastern Kentucky to a 79-76 victory over Southeast Missouri.

The Colonels (11-9 overall, 5-5 Ohio Valley Conference) trailed 37-30 at half time. They came back in the second half, with Doss leading the charge, and took a 55-54 lead with 10:20 remaining.

The teams exchanged leads several times until Doss hit a 3-pointer, putting Eastern Kentucky ahead 70-67 to stay with 4:30 remaining in the game.

Eastern Kentucky had four other players in double figures. Curtis Fincher contributed 17 points, Travis Inskeep had 13, Aaron Cecil 11, and Carlos Bess 10.

Southeast (8-12, 5-5) was led by Jerome Days with 16 points.

The team had two others in double figures. Reggie Crisp added 15 points, and Devron Kirksey 10.
