Two people injured in accident on Custer Road

SHERIDAN TWP. — Emergency responders were called to a personal injury accident at 1:26 p.m. on Custer Road north of Millerton Road in Sheridan Township.

Two people — a 64-year-old and a passenger of unknown age — are being transported by Life EMS to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital for treatment following the accident.

The passenger had to extricated from the vehicle by Jaws of Life, according to Mason County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

Deputies said two men were driving in the truck when it went off the road and into a ditch.

Michigan State Police and Fountain Fire also responded to the scene and Free Soil Fire was called in to assist.

The intersection at Custer and Millerton roads is closed as sheriff’s deputies investigate the incident.
