August 21, 2018

STEWARTVILLE — A Stewartville business reported Saturday that a brand new ATV, still in its crate, was stolen overnight.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office received a report around 7:30 a.m. Saturday from Podein’s Power Equipment on 517 S. Main St, according to Sgt. Kirby Long.

An employee reported that sometime between 8:30 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday, someone stole a new 2018 Polaris sportsman 570 ATV valued at $5,500 from the business, Long said. The ATV was still in its delivery crate and the battery did not have acid in it, Long said.

It is believed it was put on a trailer and taken away.
