FOXBORO, Mass. (AP) _ Roy Lassiter scored his 12th goal of the season as two-time Major League Soccer champion D.C. United beat the New England Revolution 1-0 on Wednesday night.

Lassiter, acquired from Tampa Bay in April, scored on a left foot shot in the 81st minute. Mike Slivinski, a late-game replacement at midfield, assisted on the goal, re-directing the ball from the left wing.

United goalkeeper Scott Garlick has five shutouts this year.

United (16-5) leads the Eastern Conference with 38 points, 11 more than second-place Columbus. New England (5-14) has lost six straight at home and 11 of 12 overall.
