Truck fire closes I-95 lanes, slows traffic
Two lanes of southbound I-95 south in Norwalk are closed because of an earlier tractor-trailer truck fire Tuesday morning.
At 5:55 a.m., southbound delays were more than three miles, according to the state Department of Transportation.
The fire, reported at 5:24 a.m., closed the right and center lanes between Exits 14 and 13.
The fire was contained to the truck’s brakes, according to Norwalk fire dispatch reports.
It will take some time to remove the tractor-trailer from the scene.
It’s expected to be cleared by the peak of the AM commute.
