Derry woman gets probation for having sex with teen boy, another woman at pizza party
A Derry Township woman will serve five years on probation for a sexual encounter with a 15-year-old boy and another woman.
Melissa Weaver, 28, pleaded guilty Tuesday to statutory sexual assault.
The plea came after a Westmoreland County jury had heard testimony from Weaver as well as her alleged victim and the 39-year-old woman who claimed she initiated the all-night sexual liaison as her own two children slept in the same Derry home.
Police contended Tonia Simms invited Weaver and the teen to her home for a pizza party during which the three engaged sexual encounters.
According to court records, Simms admitted to police that she had a relationship with the teen.
Simms in April pleaded guilty to two counts of statutory sexual assault and was sentenced by Common Pleas Judge Christopher Feliciani to two-to-eight years in prison and eight years on probation.
Weaver was sentenced to five years on probation, including 18 months on house arrest. The judge said Weaver’s house arrest could be reduced to just nine months if she completes terms of her probation.
