Hunters Helping the Hungry program in need of donations
LINCOLN - A program that funds the processing of donated deer for Nebraska’s hungry is critically low on cash, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
Assistant Administrator Pat Molini with the commission says the Hunters Helping Hungry program depends on cash donations.
Because of a lack of funding, many meat processors in the state have stopped accepting donated meat, according to a statement from the commission.
