Republicans Nominate State Rep. Fred Keller For 12th Congressional District Seat
Williamsport — Republicans on Saturday nominated state Rep. Fred Keller to run for the 12th Congressional District seat recently vacated by former U.S. Rep. Tom Marino. Keller, 53, of Middlecreek Twp., Snyder County, is serving his fifth term in the state House, representing the 85th District. He formerly managed a door and kitchen cabinet manufacturing plant. He will face Democrat Marc Friedenberg, 35, of Ferguson Twp., Centre County, in a special election May 21. “Fred Keller is the kind of principled, conservative leader needed for the 12th Congressional District,” Val DiGiorgio, state Republican Party chairman, said in a statement.
