AP-TX--Election 2018-Senate-Texas Debate,ADVISORY, TX
The two leading candidates in the U.S. Senate election will appear in a 60-mnnute debate on KENS-TV (CBS) in San Antonio on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 8 p.m. CT. The debate features incumbent U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Houston, and U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke, D-El Paso.
EMBARGO: KENS-TV will make the debate available to other TV and radio stations, but a live broadcast embargo exists for radio and television stations in 10 Texas TV markets. The broadcast may only appear life on the listed stations in the following markets:
Beaumont: KBMT-TV, KJAC-TV
Corpus Christi: KIII-TV
Dallas-Fort Worth: WFAA-TV
San Angelo: KIDY-TV
San Antonio: KENS-TV
Killeen-Bryan: KCEN-TV, KAGS-TV
All other stations in non-TEGNA markets may use the satellite and audio feeds and streaming link to broadcast the debate live, delayed or as part of subsequent newscasts and streamed online. Satellite, streaming, audio feed and on-site coverage details for the debate are noted below.

No live audio/video feed of the program will be available on site.
San Antonio Express-News will provide an AP pool photographer to capture all official debate photos; no other photographers will be allowed in the studio. Media will be able to download the photos for free from an FTP. Server login information will be sent closer to the day of the debate.
Candidates or a campaign representative may be available for a question-and-answer period following the debate. Video and still photography will be allowed.
Media should plan to arrive at KENS for set-up no later than 6:30 p.m. Media will NOT be allowed access to the studio. Candidates or a campaign representative may be available for a question-and-answer period following the debate.

All members of the media must present press credentials or other picture ID to enter the building. The KENS Studios are situated at 5400 Fredericksburg Road, San Antonio, TX 78229. Please alert KENS if you plan to bring a satellite or microwave truck.
Parking will be available approximately 100 yards in front of the KENS building.
