Swimmer who apparently drowned in Lake Pueblo identified
PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) — Authorities have released the name of a man who apparently drowned while swimming near a marina at Lake Pueblo State Park.
The Pueblo Chieftain reports witnesses called 911 after 38-year-old Federico Guzman disappeared underwater while trying to swim from the shore to the marina on Monday afternoon. A search and rescue dive team recovered the Pueblo West man’s body about an hour later.
Park manager Monique Mullis says swimming is not allowed anywhere in the lake but is allowed at the Rock Canyon Swim Beach below the dam. No other information has been released.
