Left northbound lane of I-95 over river to be closed Sunday morning
COLUMBIA, S.C. – The left lane of northbound Interstate 95 will be closed at mile marker 175 from approximately 7 a.m. to noon Sunday.
The South Carolina Department of Transportation will perform an inspection of the bridge over the Great Pee Dee River at the border between Florence and Dillon counties that will necessitate the closing of the left lane of the interstate.
Motorists traveling along this section of I-95 are advised to use caution in the work zone and expect traffic congestion. Motorists also are encouraged to use alternate routes or the dedicated detour to avoid severe congestion on I-95 in the northbound direction. The dedicated detour will be I-95 North to Exit 170 (S.C. 327) to U.S. 76/U.S. 301 to U.S. 301 to S.C. 38 to I-95 North Exit 181.
