ACC honors 11 players from No. 18 Syracuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Freshman safety Andre Cisco, redshirt junior punter Sterling Hofrichter and redshirt freshman kicker Andre Szmyt are among 11 players for No. 18 Syracuse honored by the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Cisco, Hofrichter and Szmyt were named Monday to the All-ACC first team. Szmyt leads the nation in scoring (141 points) and field goals (28), while Cisco is tied for the FBS lead with seven interceptions and his 16 passes defended are the most for a freshman in school history. Hofrichter ranks second in the ACC in punting and leads the conference with 25 punts downed inside the 20-yard line.

Redshirt senior wide receiver Jamal Custis, junior defensive end Alton Robinson and senior linebacker Ryan Guthrie were named to the second team, while senior quarterback Eric Dungey, redshirt senior offensive lineman Koda Martin, and junior slot receiver Sean Riley made the third team.

Senior left tackle Cody Conway and redshirt senior defensive tackle Chris Slayton were honorable mentions.
