WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (AP) _ The team of James Weaver and Chris Dyson drove their Dyson Racing Ford-powered Riley & Scott to victory Sunday in the 6 Hours of The Glen at Watkins Glen International.

The pair set a track record for the event, completing 187 laps on the 3.4 mile course at an average speed of 105.714 mph.

The Weaver/Dyson entry outlasted its two main opponents, its sister car from the Dyson Racing team and the Judd-engined Dallara of Doran Lista Racing. The second Dyson car dropped out of the race after only 72 laps.

The Dallara had its own problems, but managed to get back on track for the last lap to finish. It only completed 136 laps over the six-hour distance.

``We had a trouble-free run,″ Weaver said. ``Watkins Glen is one of the best circuits in the world and it’s a pleasure to race here.″

Other class winners were Rand Racing in the SportsRacing Prototype II class, Scuderia Ferrari of Washington in GT, Morgan Dollar Motorsports in American GT and Jack Lewis Racing in GTS.
