Penguins buy out Petr Klima’s contract

PITTSBURGH (AP) _ The Pittsburgh Penguins bought out the contract of left winger Petr Klima.

Klima had been sent to the Cleveland Lumberjacks of the International Hockey League on Nov. 22.

The Penguins acquired Klima on Oct. 25 from the Los Angeles Kings.

Klima, 31, also played for Detroit, Edmonton and Tampa Bay over 12 NHL seasons, scoring 311 goals in 757 games.

Klima is now free to sign with any team.
