NYC deputy mayor for housing, economic development to depart
NEW YORK (AP) — A deputy mayor who helped secure New York’s Amazon deal and has overseen the city’s troubled public housing system will leave the administration.
Officials say Deputy Mayor for Housing and Economic Development Alicia Glen will depart within a few months.
The New York Times reports Glen, who was appointed in Democratic Mayor Bill de Blasio’s first term, had a key role in the deal that includes nearly $3 billion in incentives for Amazon’s secondary headquarters in New York.
A replacement for the former Goldman Sachs executive has not been named.
