Safety Louis Riddick Agrees to Terms with Falcons

April 11, 1996

SUWANEE, Ga. (AP) _ Safety Louis Riddick, who began his NFL career with Atlanta but spent the last three seasons with the Cleveland Browns, is coming back to the Falcons, the club said today.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Riddick is the fourth defensive unrestricted free agent to agree to terms with the Falcons in the off-season. The others are linebacker Cornelius Bennett, lineman Dan Owens and end Shane Dronett.

Riddick led the Browns with 21 special teams tackles last year, had 11 tackles as a reserve safety and caught a 23-yard pass on a fake punt play against Kansas City.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Riddick joined the Falcons in 1992 and started four games, then went to the Browns as a free agent.
