Plane Gets Caught on Power Lines

December 27, 2001

KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) _ Two men got their small plane snagged on power lines and dangled 75 feet off the ground for six hours before firefighters were able to pull them to safety Thursday.

The plane apparently ran out of gas Wednesday night while attempting to land at the airport in this Atlanta suburb. The power lines are about three miles from the airport.

Firefighters used a 125-foot crane to rescue the unidentified men, who were cold but apparently unharmed.
