A Cook County judge is expected to set a new date Wednesday for delivering a verdict in the bench trial for three officers charged with lying to protect a fellow officer who fatally shot a black teenager in Chicago. Developing from 11 a.m. hearing.

_ CHILD PORNOGRAPHER SENTENCED: A suburban Chicago man who was convicted of manufacturing child pornography has been sentenced to 29 years in state prison.

_ LINCOLN DOCUMENTS: An ongoing project to digitize all of Abraham Lincoln’s papers has received a grant. Officials announced Tuesday that the Abraham Lincoln Association has given a $6,000 grant to the digitization project at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.

_ TASER ALTERNATIVE: A suburban Chicago police department is testing a new device that restrains suspects by shooting a Kevlar rope that wraps tightly around the person’s body.



CHICAGO _ D’Angelo Russell and the Brooklyn Nets go for their seventh straight win when they meet the struggling Chicago Bulls.
