LACROSSE Greenwich Academy edged in overtime
Greenwich Academy’s lacrosse season ended with one of its most competitive games of the season, as it was edged by host Oak Knoll (N.J.), 15-14, in overtime on Tuesday.
The Gators finished their strong season with an impressive record of 13-2. Greenwich Academy entered halftime with an 8-6 lead on Oak Knoll — which like GA is a national lacrosse power.
Sophomore midfielder Margaret Maruszewski recorded a team-high four goals to pace the Gators offensively. Junior midfielder Taylor registered three goals, while junior attack Eliza Bowman recorded a hat trick for GA. Grace Schulze, a junior midfielder, tallied twice, while junior Katie Goldsmith added one goal and two assists. Also for Greenwich Academy, Tessa Brooks had one goal and one assist.
