Three people charged in Johnsonville burglary, firearm theft

JOHNSONVILLE, S.C. -- Investigators have charged three people with stealing seven guns in the burglary of a Johnsonville home.

The incident took place April 16 on Sandy Lane Drive, according to a release from the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.

One of the three suspects was arrested April 18, the other two were arrested Tuesday.

Ethan Shane Ard, 20, of 419 Sandy Lane Drive, Johnsonville was arrested April 18 and charged with one count of first-degree burglary, according to the release. Ard is also charged with two counts of breaking into motor vehicles.

George Martin Owens, III, 27, of 5605 Goose Pond Road, Gresham as arrested April 30 and charged with one count first-degree burglary.

Dustin Tyler Shipley, 22, of 2227 Hanna Lake Road, Johnsonville, was arrested April 30 and charged with one count of first-degree burglary.

All three are being held at the Florence County Detention Center. Shipley and Owens are awaiting a bond hearing. Ard has been denied bond.
