TURIN, Italy (AP) _ Sabina Florian scored Italy's first goal in Olympic women's hockey, but Svetlana Trefilova and Iya Gavrilova scored two goals apiece in Russia's 5-1 victory over the hosts Tuesday.

Florian scored the game's first goal midway through the first period during a power play for the Italians (0-3), who assembled their team about two weeks before the games.

``It was a pleasure,'' Florian said. ``We hope now that Italy knows about hockey and knows that it exists. They probably didn't in the past, especially not in the south.''

The Russians, accused by Canada's Hayley Wickenheiser of playing with no heart in a 12-0 loss Sunday, responded with power-play goals from Yulia Gladysheva and Trefilova. Russia (1-2) added three goals in the third, two more on the power play.

Olga Permyakova was removed from the ice on a stretcher and taken to a hospital in the first period after colliding with a teammate, but coach Alexey Kalintsev said her head injury isn't serious.
