WASHINGTON (AP) _ Wallace Jorgenson, president of Jefferson-Pilot Communications Co., Charlotte, N.C., was elected Tuesday to a one-year term as chairman of the National Association of Broadcasters Joint Board.

The NAB's joint board is composed of members of the association's radio and television boards of directors. For the past year, Jorgenson was vice chairman of the NAB's TV board.

Jorgenson succeeds Ted L. Snider, president KARN-AM and KKYK-FM in Little Rock, Ark., whose two-year term expired.

The NAB's membership includes more than 5,000 radio and 930 television stations, including all the major networks.
