Winona police calls for Wednesday, Aug. 8: Rural Winona County woman’s home burglarized

1:42 p.m. — A Winona woman living on Dresser Court reported being bitten by a dog.

3:13 p.m. — A Winona man living on the 1000 block of East Wabasha Street reported a man who rode into his yard on a bicycle, dropped and rode off on another that had been left in his yard.

4:02 p.m. — Benjamin Gordon McQuay, 25, was arrested on an outstanding Olmsted County warrant during a traffic stop near the 700 block of West Broadway.

4:07 p.m. — Jason Paul Schulz, 45, was arrested on a probation violation on the 250 block of Cummings Street.

7:33 p.m. — A Winona woman living on the 100 block of Main Street reported a fraudulent withdrawal from her bank account in the amount of $250. The woman told police a generic withdrawal slip was used to complete the transaction and the signature on the slip did not match her or her husband.

7:58 p.m. — Kyle Lee Rhoden, 44, Winona was arrested on an outstanding warrant near the 500 block of Chatfield Street.


12:07 a.m. — A Winona woman living on the 500 block of East Second Street reported an unknown person pounding on the windows of her residence.

7:02 a.m. — A Winona woman reported that her parked vehicle had been struck sometime overnight near the 1000 block of West Broadway. According to police, based on the nature of the damage the vehicle was likely a green SUV or truck.

6:08 p.m. — A woman living on the 27000 block of County Road 12 in rural Winona County reported a burglary during a lengthy vacation. According to the Winona County Sheriff’s Department, there are no suspects at this time. Items taken included televisions, stereos and tools. However, a complete list of items stolen has not yet been completed.
