House explodes in Webster Groves; no injuries
WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. (AP) — Investigators are searching for the cause of an explosion and fire that destroyed a home in the St. Louis suburb of Webster Groves.
The home was a rental property, but no one was injured when the explosion happened late Sunday night. The St. Louis Regional Bomb and Arson Unit has been asked to assist in the investigation. The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives also is investigating.
Neighbors heard the explosion reported it to authorities. The home was engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived.
