NEW YORK (AP) _ Treasury bond prices were mixed at midday Wednesday.

The price of the Treasury's 10-year note was down 1-32 point, or 31.25 cents per $1,000 in face value, around midday Wednesday, while its yield hovered around 6.14 percent, unchanged from late Tuesday. Prices and yields move in opposite directions.

The 30-year bonds remained steady and yielded 5.90 percent, also unchanged from late Tuesday.

Yields on three-month Treasury bills rose to 6.19 percent as the discount rose 0.05 percentage point to 6.02 percent. Six-month yields rose to 6.32 percent as the discount rose 0.04 percentage point to 6.05 percent. One-year yields rose to 6.11 percent as the discount rose 0.01 point to 5.80 percent.

Yields are the interest bonds pay by maturity, while the discount is the interest at which they are sold.
