Traffic stop leads to 3 arrests

March 28, 2019

A traffic stop early Wednesday morning in Shenandoah led to the arrest of three suspects, including one for a stolen truck.

Sarah McLamb was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, Shawn Weathermax was arrested and charged with failure to identify a fugitive and an identified minor was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. At approximately 2:45 a.m,. a Shenandoah Police Department sergeant observed “something peculiar” about a white GMC on the 19200 block of David Memorial Drive and pulled over its driver, McLamb, according to a Shenandoah Police Department release.

The truck was found to be reportedly stolen out of La Porte and Weathermax, who had two felony warrants, attempted to conceal his identity, according to the news release.

“This type of aggressive police work is necessary in Shenandoah and Montgomery County because of recent increases in burglary of motor vehicle and stolen vehicle cases,” the release stated. “Criminals search for vehicles they can easily steal, vehicle parts, weapons and personal property that they can easily trade for small amounts of cash or drugs.”

Anyone with information related to this case is asked to contact the Shenandoah Police Department at 281-367-8952.
