NBA YOUNGBOY JAILED WHILE JUDGE CONSIDERS REVOKING PROBATION
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) _ NBA YoungBoy is in jail in Louisiana while a judge considers whether to revoke his probation after he was involved in a fatal shooting in Florida during the Rolling Loud Festival this month. The Baton Rouge Advocate reports District Judge Bonnie Jackson had put NBA YoungBoy on probation for three years in August, 2017 as part of a sentence for aggravated assault. On Friday, Jackson says she was 90 percent sure a video that shows a young man making threats is NBA YoungBoy. Less than two weeks ago, passengers in an SUV opened fire on NBA YoungBoy in Miami, and members of his entourage who were legally armed fired back. Jackson ordered NBA YoungBoy jailed until June 21. She says if she receives concrete evidence the man in the video is the rapper, she will order him to serve the suspended 10-year prison term she gave him in 2017.
ICELAND CANYON SUFFERS FROM ADORING JUSTIN BIEBER FANS
FJADRÁRGLJÚFUR, Iceland (AP) _ The pristine spot in Iceland where Justin Bieber filmed the video for “I’ll Show You” is not so pristine anymore. The Fjadrárgljúfur (FYAR-awr-GLYOOV’-oer) canyon is closed to visitors, both by car and on foot, because of the environmental damage. More than one million people have visited the canyon since the video came out in 2015. It shows Bieber walking across the moss, dangling his feet over the canyon and bathing in the icy river. A park ranger says fans wanting access have offered bribes of food from their home countries or even a free trip to Dubai (doo-BY’). Icelandic Environment Minister Gudmundur Ingi Gudbrandsson says it is “a bit too simplistic to blame the entire situation on Justin Bieber.” After all, you could conceivably blame “Game of Thrones.” The show filmed there this season, as well as at a nearby glacier and waterfall.
ELTON JOHN WATCHES HIMSELF IN “ROCKETMAN”
CANNES, France (AP) _ Elton John believes the actor who plays him in the film “Rocketman” had an extra-tough job to do. John says not only did Taron Egerton have to perform John’s life, he had to sing it too. John says when he sees the film, he doesn’t see Egerton -- he sees himself. John says when he first heard Egerton sing “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me,” he felt it was as good as his version. John’s songwriting partner, Bernie Taupin, says it’s hard to imagine a movie about yourself. He says movies like that are usually made about people who have died, so luckily, he and John are still around to appreciate it. “Rocketman” opens next week.

They say Foster withdrew money from McKnight’s account without authorization. Prosecutors say Foster spent the money on expensive clothes, jewelry, Super Bowl tickets and season tickets to the New York Giants and New York Knicks.
