DALLAS (AP) _ Teresa McMillan had 19 points and nine rebounds Wednesday night as No. 15 Texas Tech cruised past Texas Christian 89-62 in the quarterfinals of the Southwest Conference women’s basketball tournament.
The Lady Raiders (24-4) ran their winning streak to seven games while TCU (4-24) lost its 20th straight.
Jennifer Buck and conference player of the year Sheryl Swoopes added 18 points apiece for Tech, which shot 50 percent and outrebounded the Lady Horned Frogs 48-27.
Rachel Hesse led TCU with 19 points, nine rebounds and four steals.
TCU, which was 0-14 in conference play, kept the game close for 10 minutes, trailing only 21-19 before Buck sank a follow shot that started an 11-0 run.
The Lady Horned Frogs hit only one of 15 shots in the last nine minutes of the half, missing their last 10 shots, and trailed at the half 46-25.
