Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles Welcomes Six New Members to Board of Directors as Nonprofit Poised to Grant 10,000th Wish

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov 16, 2018--As Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles undertakes plans to grant its 10,000 th wish in the city, the nonprofit organization has appointed six new members to its Board of Directors. With a mission to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses, Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles has been granting wishes in LA County since 1983. New board members include:

Although there is a common misconception that Make-A-Wish only serves terminally ill children, most wish recipients go on to live healthy lives into adulthood, citing their wish experience as a turning point in their recovery. There are currently hundreds of children in Los Angeles awaiting their wishes. Make-A-Wish Greater LA will raise critical funds to reach these children at its annual Walk for Wishes at the Los Angeles Coliseum on April 6.
