Man saved from heroin overdose

A 55-year-old Ludington man is alive after overdosing on heroin and being saved by a dose of Naloxone.

The incident occurred at 4:21 p.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of East Danaher Street.

According to police, the man was found unconscious in his bedroom.

A 4-milligram dose of Naloxone was administered and the man was able to walk to the ambulance for treatment. He was transported to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital.
